Personal coverage inquiries within easy reach on a phone

What a travel insurance specialist broker in Baton Rouge changed on its website, and what that did for the office.

From the old way in to the new one

Uncovered

Where it started

On a desktop the personal coverage inquiries section was easy enough to browse. On a phone it collapsed into a deep menu, and the contact link hid well below the fold.

What got in the way

With personal coverage inquiries, visitors abandoned the menu halfway and phoned instead, doubling the work: they browsed, failed, and then called to be guided.

Covered

What we built

The mobile layout was rebuilt around a short navigation path covering an overview, the agency's review process and carrier contact routes and a prominent inquiry button. Content blocks were rearranged to match the order visitors actually ask about things.

What it was made of

The parts of the build, as the client listed them.

  1. 01Mobile navigation
  2. 02Short page sections
  3. 03Visible contact action
  4. 04Readable text sizing

On the plan

Each of these is on every plan from Single Line up.

How long it took

15 working days after content approval, including staff review and handover.

  1. Day 0

    Content approved

The agency signs off the wording. The working days are counted from here.

  2. Working days 1 to 15

    Built, then reviewed by staff

Mobile navigation and short page sections, built and then reviewed by agency staff before launch.

  3. By working day 15

    Handed over

The office takes it from there, with the handover inside the same count.

What changed

When it comes to personal coverage inquiries, phone visitors complete the journey the site always intended. Staff share one link during calls instead of describing a route through menus.

When somebody rings about personal coverage inquiries, I send one link and tell them exactly where to tap. The guided tour of our menu is no longer part of the call.

Questions about this case

How long did this work take for the travel insurance specialist broker?

15 working days after content approval, including staff review and handover. The clock starts once the agency has approved the content, so the time it takes to agree the wording is not counted against the build.

Which plan carries this kind of work?

Everything this case used sits on the Single Line plan and up: pages that open before the visitor gives up and a page for every line you write. Single Line is $127/ month, and the one-time build fee is invoiced only after the site is live and approved.

Does an inquiry sent through the site count as a quote or a booking?

No. An inquiry is a request to talk. It is not a quote, an application, a booking or a binder, and nothing is in force until a licensed producer and a carrier bind it. GetInsuranceWebsite is not an insurance agency, broker, carrier or licensed producer, and the site never quotes coverage, rates or eligibility.

Why is the client not named?

Case studies on this site describe each client by type, size and region rather than by business name. The quote is attributed to the named staff member who gave it: Wilfred Harwood, policy administrator.
