Design and build
Search, redesign and scale
An off-the-shelf insurance theme works right up until an agency needs something the theme was not built to do: a quote form with logic specific to a line the theme did not anticipate, a layout for a book that mixes personal, commercial and benefits in a way the theme's templates do not support, or an integration into an AMS the plugin ecosystem has never heard of. Custom development is what an agency reaches for once a theme has become the ceiling on the site rather than the floor.
What it costs
Themes are built to serve the median case across thousands of buyers, which means they handle a generic contact form and a generic services list well and struggle with anything specific to your book: a submission form for wholesale MGA business with an upload field for loss runs, a producer directory filtered by state and line for a multi-state agency, or a location page that needs to show different carrier appointments per office. Custom development starts from what your agency actually needs rather than from what the theme's template library happens to include out of the box, which is a meaningful difference once your book is anything other than a standard single-office personal lines shop.
A theme's form builder gives you text fields, dropdowns and a submit button, styled the same regardless of what is being asked and rarely validating anything beyond "is this field empty." Custom development means the auto form, the BOP form and the Medicare form are each their own piece of logic, built to ask exactly what that line needs and validate it correctly, then map cleanly onto the fields your CRM or AMS expects rather than arriving as one unstructured paragraph a producer has to parse by hand before they can even start rating the risk.
A wholesaler with fifteen programs, a benefits broker whose real product is a renewal process rather than a form, or an agency with both a retail book and a program business: each of these needs a site structure a theme's handful of page templates was never designed around, no matter how many colour options it offers. We build the information architecture around how your book actually works, then design and develop the pages that structure requires, rather than mapping your business onto the nearest theme template and living with the mismatch for years because rebuilding feels too expensive to justify.
Custom does not mean you are left maintaining bespoke code yourself or hunting for a developer every time something needs a small change. The site is hosted, updated and revised the same way as every plan: 5 revisions a month, then $20 each, weekly updates nobody at the agency has to remember to request, and hosting on Cloudflare with nothing itemized separately. Custom is a description of how the build fits your book on day one, not a different support arrangement once the site is actually live and running.
Who it is for
Programs, wholesalers, MGAs and agencies with workflows a standard agency build does not cover: submission intake, program pages, producer licensing tables or a system nobody has integrated with before.
If two or more of the signs on this page sound familiar, this is the page for you.
Submissions arrive as emails with attachments and are keyed in by hand.
Your programs each need their own eligibility questions and appetite pages.
Producer pages need different states and lines per person.
Your intake system has an API nobody has connected a website to.
Four steps, and you pay for the build only after you have seen it live.
Every visitor ready to shop leaves through a phone number, or leaves nothing at all.
Pick a plan on the pricing page. The first month is the only thing you pay before the site exists.
We do not yet know your lines, your carriers, your towns or the system your producers work in.
Lines you write, carriers you are appointed with, towns you serve, producers, and which CRM or AMS the requests go into. Anything missing can follow later by email or as a portal ticket.
Not one line you write and not one town you serve has a page of its own.
Pages, quote forms, integrations, articles queued. You review a live link and send changes as revisions.
The build is not paid for, and you have not seen the site it paid for.
Once the site is live and you have approved it, we invoice the $697 one-time build fee. Not before.
Everything below ships on every plan, alongside hosting, a free domain, weekly updates and researched articles.
A site structure built around how your book actually works, not the nearest theme template.
Field logic, validation and file uploads matched to what each submission actually needs.
If your AMS or submission system is not on a plugin marketplace, we still connect to it.
Filterable listings for multi-producer or multi-program books, built to your data.
Custom code, ordinary support: hosting, revisions and updates like every plan.

If you only look at the design you miss the best bit, which is the inquiry form. It asks for coverage interest, renewal month and contact preference before anything is sent, which is the information we used to chase by email. It has quietly removed the slowest step in our intake.
Our deliberately awkward question was: what if the personal coverage inquiries form breaks? Failure paths were treated as a design requirement rather than an embarrassment. Hoping the form never breaks is no longer the strategy.

Our replies to personal coverage inquiries start with answers instead of questions. That is the whole improvement, and it is not a small one.
For personal coverage inquiries, every inquiry has a name and a state attached to it.
When it comes to personal coverage inquiries, messages arrive pre-sorted by the person best placed to sort them: the sender.
If your book has a structure a generic insurance theme was not built around, multiple programs, a submission-based workflow, or producer pages that need to show different licensing per person, that is the signal. Most agencies writing standard personal or commercial lines do fine on the standard build; custom development is for the book that does not fit the standard shape.
Custom scope is scoped and quoted before the build starts, so you know the number before you commit; it is not a blank check. Many custom builds still fit inside the standard $127 to $647 plan range, with the $697 build fee reflecting the additional development work where it applies.
In most cases, yes. We confirm the integration path during onboarding, whether that is a direct API, a Zapier or Make connection, or a structured email intake, before the build starts so there are no surprises at launch.
Yes. Custom development changes how the site is built, not how it is supported afterward. You still get 5 revisions a month, weekly updates, and fully managed hosting like every plan.
Anything beyond the standard page and form set, such as a submission intake with file uploads, program-specific question sets or an unusual integration. Much of it fits into revisions; we tell you on the demo call if anything would not.
No. We are not an insurance company and nothing we build quotes, rates or binds coverage. We build the intake that gets the right details to the person or system that does.
Standard launch windows are 7, 10 or 15 days by plan. Custom integrations can add time, which we agree with you before the build starts.
Your content and domain are always yours. The build is included in the plan and the build fee rather than billed as a separate custom project.
