Every personal coverage inquiries request has an owner
What a pet and specialist personal insurer broker in Plano changed on its website, and what that did for the office.
From the old way in to the new one
Where it started
The personal coverage inquiries inbox belonged to everyone and no one. Messages were monitored between other tasks, with no record of who was handling each one.
What got in the way
Day to day with personal coverage inquiries, the inbox rewarded the conscientious and hid the overdue. Nobody could answer the simplest management question: what is still open?
What we built
Each submission collects coverage interest, renewal month and contact preference and is assigned to a responsible staff member with a visible follow-up status. A backup contact is named for every request in case the owner is unavailable.
What it was made of
The parts of the build, as the client listed them.
- 01Assignment rules
- 02Follow-up status
- 03Backup owner
- 04Internal request summary
On the plan
Each of these is on every plan from Single Line up.

For personal coverage inquiries, every inquiry has a name and a state attached to it.
With personal coverage inquiries, the problem was never receiving the message. It was knowing whose job it was to answer. That part is unambiguous now.
Questions about this case
How long did this work take for the pet and specialist personal insurer broker?
20 working days after content approval, including staff review and handover. The clock starts once the agency has approved the content, so the time it takes to agree the wording is not counted against the build.
Which plan carries this kind of work?
Everything this case used sits on the Single Line plan and up: every quote request lands in your crm or ams and quote request forms per line of business. Single Line is $127/ month, and the one-time build fee is invoiced only after the site is live and approved.
Does an inquiry sent through the site count as a quote or a booking?
No. An inquiry is a request to talk. It is not a quote, an application, a booking or a binder, and nothing is in force until a licensed producer and a carrier bind it. GetInsuranceWebsite is not an insurance agency, broker, carrier or licensed producer, and the site never quotes coverage, rates or eligibility.
Why is the client not named?
Case studies on this site describe each client by type, size and region rather than by business name. The quote is attributed to the named staff member who gave it: Ian Siddons, front office coordinator.
